How did the name Hamam Suites come about? Are there any hamam facilities?
The name Hamam Suites is due to the Hamam – Superior Apartment located in Hamam Suites Sifaka. It is a place of Ottoman origin that has preserved its character. In the master bedroom there is a large hemispherical dome without a drum, with arches. The whole layout of the room is based on the architecture that a genuine Turkish hammam had.
What is the difference in Hamam Suites locations?
Hamam Suites is a complex consisting of 3 different buildings in different locations where they can offer the guest the accommodation they imagine
Hamam Suites Sifaka is at 19 Sifaka Street, it was built along with the Byzantine walls and the rooms have preserved their traditional character. It is located in the center of Chania
Hamam Suites Portou is at B’ Parodo Porto 15, in the narrow streets of the Old Town. It is a Venetian building whose room decoration combines the traditional with the modern. It is located in the center of the Old Town of Chania.
Hamam Suites Aroni is a traditional house equipped with a kitchen, washing machine and electric grill. It is located in the area of Aroni – Pithari, Akrotiri at a distance of 10 kilometers from the center of Chania.
How can I make a reservation?
On the hotel’s official website you can select the dates you want and search for prices and availability. The online booking system allows you to book easily, quickly and securely. Also, on the hotel’s official website you will find the best possible prices and exclusive offer packages.
Until when can I change or cancel my reservation?
Our cancellation policy allows you to change and cancel your reservation up to 14 days before your arrival day.

Do you have family rooms?
Our rooms are mainly aimed at couples, therefore they are double rooms.
The rooms that can accommodate a family are:
Hamam – Superior Apartment which accommodates up to 4 people, but due to the particular architecture of its Ottoman character, the second bedroom has no door.
Odysseas – Apartment With Balcony which accommodates up to 3 people
Τα Odysseas – Apartment With Balcony & Ermis – Luxury One-Bedroom Apartment which accommodate up to 5 people. They are located on the 2nd floor of the building at Sifaka 19 and can become connected rooms by closing the 2nd floor door.
Finally, family can also host the Hamam Suites Aroni , up to 3 people
Which rooms have a kitchen so I can cook if I wish during my stay?
Normal and fully equipped kitchen you will find at Hamam Suites Aroni.
At Hamam Suites Sifaka in the rooms : Hamam – Superior Apartment , Odysseas – Apartment With Balcony, Pinelopi – Standard Apartment
Do all the rooms at Hamam Suites Portou have a hydromassage/Jacuzzi?
Only the rooms have hydromassage : Olymbos – Deluxe Suite & Ontas – Junior Suite with balcony
Are there smoking rooms in the accommodation?
All rooms and interiors of Hamam Suites are non-smoking.
What time is the arrival (check in) / departure (check out)?
Check in is at 15.00 noon and check out is at 11.00
Until what time can I check in?
We have a self check in system which allows you to enter the room at any time you wish after 15.00
How can I check in?
There are 2 check in services.
- Self Check In : We send you a message one day before your arrival or on the day of your arrival with detailed instructions on how to get your room key from the key box & with the necessary information about the room. What we need from you is to send us a message or call us to assure us that everything is fine and the room meets your expectations.
- Personal check in : We are informed of your exact arrival time so that we can be there to welcome you in person.
I want to check in earlier than 15.00, is that possible?
The best we can do is let you know when the room is ready.
You can leave your luggage in an area that we have as a reception but at your own risk because it is not standard to have a person from our staff there.
At Ktel Chania , there is a 24-hour storage area where you can leave your luggage in a locked locker for which you will have the key at a cost of €2 – 8 hours & €3 – 24 hours.
Finally, in order to serve you better & to thank you for your understanding, we offer a 10% discount for our customers in a cafe located near hamam suites Sifaka, in case you want to sit until your check in time.
Check out is at 11.00, but I am leaving the city much later, what can be done with my luggage?
Regarding your luggage, there are 2 options:
- You can leave them in an area we have as reception at your own risk because there is not one person from our staff there all the time and all our guests have access to this area.
After leaving your luggage you take the key to the front door with you and when you want to take your luggage you leave the key to the front door at a certain point at the reception.
- At Ktel Chania , there is a 24-hour storage area where you can leave your luggage in a locked locker for which you will have the key at a cost of €2 – 8 hours & €3 – 24 hours.
How to reach the accommodation from Souda port?
- With a rental car.
You can rent a car and pick it up at Chania Port in Souda. The road is not particularly difficult and there are signs to guide you.
2. By taxi, the cost is 35.00 euros
The taxi will be waiting for you at the port with a sign with your name and will bring you to our premises

3. By city bus.

How do I get to the accommodation from the airport?

Our apartments are located in the center and there are municipal parking spaces available at an affordable charge.
1. Municipal Parking Regina Chania : 10 minutes walking distance (700meters)
2. Chania Port Parking : 7 minutes walking distance (550 meters)
3. Parking Agoras : 4 minutes walking distance (300 meters)
You can find information on the application “i-park chania” and follow the instructions given.
There is also an added option in case you desire to park in an indoor area called “peridou 24 garage ” (8 minutes walking distance – 650meters) it is closed on Sundays and please ask at the secretariat for its opening hours
(tip: you can stop for a few minutes at the entrance of the accommodation to leave your luggage and then look for a parking space)
- Hamam Suites Portou – Parking :
Our apartments are located in the Old Town where no vehicles are allowed but there are municipal parking spaces available at an affordable charge.

Can I stop for a few minutes in front of the accommodation to leave my luggage?
At Hamam Suites Sifaka and Hamam Suites Aroni, it is possible.
This is not possible at Hamam Suites Portou because it is a building located in the narrow streets of the Old Town, with the result that it is not possible to drive a car through it. In case you have a lot of luggage we would suggest you to get to the nearest access point which is close to the tavern En Plo. from this location the Hamam Suites Portou accommodation is about 100 meters on foot
Is there a daily cleaning service at the accommodation?
For the months of April – October at Hamam Suites Sifaka and Portou there is a daily room cleaning service.
For the whole year at the Hamam Suites Sifaka and Portou, the linens (towels, sheets, pillowcases) during your stay are changed after 3 nights at no extra charge. While at Hamam Suites Aroni you will find the corresponding types of clothing inside the house so you can change yourself. In case you want a more frequent change in towels or sheets, pillowcases there is an additional charge.

Is there a beach close to the accommodation that I can walk to?
Near Hamam Suites Aroni the beaches that exist, although they are unique, you cannot go without a car.
For accommodation in Portou and Sifaka, the nearest beach is at Nea Chora Beach
The distance from Hamam Suites Sifaka is about 21 minutes walk and from Hamam Suites Portou is about 16 minutes on foot . For both routes we would suggest you to go from the Old Port where walking along the sea you will find the beach of Nea Chora while you have enjoyed a very beautiful route.
What can I do in winter in Chania?
Chania, although it is widely known for its beaches, is not an exclusively summer destination. In the city there are museums, gorges, monasteries, entertainment centers with Cretan music, snowy mountains and everything else you want to enjoy on your winter vacation.
Is the accommodation close to shops?
The Hamam Suites Portou & Sifaka accommodations are very close to the center of Chania, therefore also to the shops of every category.

Of course. We can decorate your space for any occasion and according to your instructions. We accept orders for specific wine, cake or anything else you would like included in your surprise. The price depends on the decoration package you would like.

Of course.
After you pay for the stay, we make a gift card for the recipient of the gift, where the room, the dates, the name of the recipient and the name of the sender making the gift will be written.
